Selections with Pointer for Mumbai Races (11th April 2010)

Following are the selections with pointers for the races to be held in Mumbai today.

Race No 1 : Fire Vault 1, Lightning Cavalry 2.

Fire Vault : Consistent performer. Good in morning workouts. May win.
Lightning Cavalry : Good 2nd to Western Challenge in his previous start. May upset.

Race N0 2 : Untouched 1, Houdini 2, Pound Foolish 3.

Untouched : Impressive winner in his last start. Can do it again.
Houdini : Finished an impressive 2nd behind Grey Island. Should win now.
Pound Foolish : Very well prepared. Can trouble the best.
Victor Ivanov : An upset chance.

Race No 3 : Royal Companion 1, Sol 2, Ariane 3.

Royal Companion : Ran an impressive 2nd to Ancient Wonder. Working well. Should be the best bet of the day.
Sol : Won in a start to finish attempt in his last run over 1800m. With 400m less to travel, may find the trip to sharp.
Ariane : If anyone beats Royal Companion, it will be me.
Steely Dan : Ignore last run. Previously won impressively over 1200m. A Place chance.

Race No 4 : Illuminate 1, Demonstrator 2, Grand Warrior 3.

Illuminate : Ran 4th to Demonstrator in his last run over the same trip. Has a good handicap chance to win.
Demonstrator : In rousing form. Will defy the penalty & make it 4 wins in a row.
Grand Warrior : Ran a good 2nd to Demonstrator. Working well in the trials. May win now.

Race No 5 : Applaud 1, Rigel 2, Legionnaire 3.

Applaud : Ignore last 2 runs. Moving well in the morning trials. Should not go down without a fight.
Rigel : Came from nowhere to finish an impressive 4th in his only run behind Moon Star. Should fight every inch of ground.
Legionnaire : Can fight for minor placings.
Thunder Strike : Debut Run. Working well. May upset.

Race No 6 : Superior Quest 1, Keringdingan 2, Star Empire 3.

Superior Quest : Ran an impressive 3rd behind the too good Dear Henry. Working well. May win.
Keringdingan : Ignore last run in the Poonawalla Multi-Million. Previously won impressively over same distance. With Jockey Srinath onboard, will be a different proposition today.
Star Empire : Running after a long lay off. Working well in the trials. May emerge victorious.
Serenity : Won well over 1000m. With 200m more to travel may take a lot of beating.
Delphi : Won in her only start in Mumbai. Working exceedingly well. May trouble the best. Runs with an upset chance.

Race No 7 : Scholar 1, Forever Young 2, Lago Medio 3.

Scholar : Comfortable Winner last time out. Will defy the penalty & win again.
Forever Young : Ignore last run. With Jockey B.Prakash onboard, will be a different proposition.
Irish Queen : Working well. May go cose to the winner.
Lago Medio : Has come down on scales. Runs with an Upset Chance.

Race No 8 : Brave Gun 1, Gold Vault 2, The First Lady 3.

Brave Gun : Working well. Will make it a start to finish affair.
Gold Vault : Has come down a lot in scales. Will fight it out for honours.
The First Lady : A speedy customer. Runs with an upset chance.
Mischevious Z : If my connections desire, I can make them all run for their money.

Days Best : Royal Companion (3 - 6)
Good Bets : Untouched (2 - 5) & Illuminate (4 - 3)
